As we seek to live the call to be radically involved in the mission of God, prayer is the place to start. You can participate in missions by praying for people involved in mission work, praying for mission opportunities, and praying for people who don’t have a relationship with God. You can pray for your involvement in mission, the mission work your church is doing, the work of your association and state. Below are some resources and ideas for prayer.

Incorporate your mission prayers into the following:
- Prayer walking: Pray for your neighbors and community as you walk designated areas with a partner. Get a map of your area and intentionally prayer walk each part.
- Prayer Riding; Ride your church van through the community. Focus on one aspect of your community each month. For example: schools, hospitals, rescue squads, civil servants, etc.
- Prayer stops: Stop and lay hands on the door frame of all the churches in your community. Make a card that says we have been praying for you and slip it under the door of the places you stop
- Virtual Prayer walk: Take pictures or video of the places in your community and pray in your group.
- Church Prayer walk: take children and teens on a prayer walk through your church, asking them to consider the ministry and mission that happens in and outside the walls.
- Prayer well: Provide a place outside your church for people in the community to place prayer requests.
- Virtual Prayer Well: Provide a place on your church website for community people to submit prayer requests.
- Days of Prayer: Observe National and World Days of prayer by opening your church doors for prayer.
- Prayer Stations: Provide a quiet place in your church for people to engage in interactive prayer stations. These could be set up for a specified period of time or one station per month.
- Sweet Hours of Prayer: combine prayer time, dessert and fellowship in different homes for the summer.
- Prayer Retreats: plan a church or associational gathering for prayer
- 100 Days of Prayer: Plan for seasons of prayer in your church including prayer triplets, interactive prayer opportunities, prayer walks, etc.
- Prayer Geo-cache: add a scavenger hunt dimension to your prayer walks by providing coordinates for GPS owners to discover prayer spots.
