WOMEN ON MISSION ... Today's woman desires to make her life count and to use the gifts, abilities and experiences that she possesses in meaningful and useful ways. Women on Mission offers a channel for doing that.

Two or more women with a similar interest can form a group. The exciting aspect is that, according to the desire of the group, how often you meet and what you do when you meet are questions with very flexible answers. Groups can be geared toward vocations, such as a nurses' group or a business group; toward interests, such as aerobics, crafts, mothers of toddlers, prayer, Bible study; or toward ministry, such as nursing home visitation, tutoring, clothing or food distribution. NEED RESOURCES? The ladies' magazine, Missions Mosaic, provides articles on a wide variety of topics. These can be used for personal growth or as lessons for mission groups. In addition, there are many books that will prove helpful and can be ordered on-line at www.wmustore.com. Go to www.womenonmission.com for details about how the organization works and how to begin a group in your church.

ADULTS ON MISSION provides opportunities for men and women to work together on ministry projects, locally within the community as well as worldwide. For more on this organization. http://www.wmu.com/orgs/adults/

NEED TO GET AWAY FROM IT ALL? Then consider this: The Get-Away is an annual retreat for women held each November at Eagle Eyrie in Lynchburg. It is designed to allow women an experience in which they can be renewed spiritually, find fellowship with sisters from across the Commonwealth, and learn from each other through conferences and times of sharing. Check back in 2008 for information on the Get-Away to be held November 7-9, 2008 at Eagle Eyrie Baptist Conference Center.

Sisters Who Care is a Women on Mission promotion for use in the African American church. Making WMU relevant to the needs of the African American church. Click on Sisters Who Care Graphic for more information.

WMUV Ministries provide additional avenues of ministry in Virginia. Churchwide projects and mission activities incorporate all age levels.
