“Masterpiece in the Making”
Women’s Get-Away 2009
Eagle Eyrie Conference Center • Lynchburg, Virginia
Nearly 1,000 women attended the Women's Get-Away at Eagle Eyrie Baptist Conference Center November 6-8. This annual event is sponsored by WMUV. Those attending the Get-Away were inspired by the artistry of Debbie Hannah Skinner. As a "Bible teacher with a paintbrush," Debbie teaches as transparently as watercolors and incorporates art into her "art to heart" talks.
Worship leaders, Lee Catherine Clayton and Cammie Shelatz, " Immersed", lifted the women up with their music and sweet spirit. Lee Catherine and Cammie are two Jesus lovers who have a heart to worship Him with passion and God-given music. They have been anointed to lead others into His presence, praying that God Himself will minister mightily through the warfare of worship.
The 109th WMUV Annual Meeting
was held on November 7, 2009 at Eagle Eyrie Baptist Conference Center in Lynchburg, Virginia. Nomie Derani,
missionary to Muslim women, spoke about the Muslim women and reaching them for the Kingdom.
Officers and members-at-large were elected during the Annual Meeting session on Saturday afternoon. They are: Ann Brown - President, Lucianne Warren - Vice President/Secretary, Members-at-large: Marianna Boyer - Chesapeake, Susan Stone - Wakefield, Sarah Pelfrey - Fredericksburg, and Rev. Abbie Duenckel - Mechanicsville.
